Disability Access & Inclusion

Disability Access and Inclusion Plan

The District Council of Grant is committed to ensuring people within our community who have a lived experience of disability can access services to participate in all aspects of life.

Council's Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2026 - 2030 was developed in consultation with staff and our community, including the Access and Inclusion Advisory Panel, and outlines Council’s commitment to ensuring people with disability can access and participate fully in Council facilities, services, events, employment opportunities and governance.

The DAIP outlines 27 actions envisaged to be delivered over a 4-year period to increased accessibility across 4 key areas:

State Plan Domain: Inclusive environments and communities
State Plan Domain: Education and employment
State Plan Domain: Personal and community support
State Plan Domain: Safety, rights and justice

Council’s DAIP was adopted at its ordinary meeting of 19 January, 2026.
